Description
  • North Ferriby Parish Council acquired this former landfill site in 1987.  The Riverside Walkway Committee have since carried out work to improve its landscaping, wildlife and recreational value.
  • An ash woodland has been created along the northern half of the area and wild flower seeds were planted next to the entrance path.  A two acre meadow exists adjacent to the foreshore.
  • Altogether a very tranquil area for relaxation - except for the brief passing of locomotives, which doesn't seem to disturb the wildlife at all.
